Vanity Fair has unveiled four covers featuring the cast of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, including a touching portrait of the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa.

A follow-up to famed photographer Annie Leibovitz's 2015 shoot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the images also depict Daisy Ridley as Rey and Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker on Ahch-To (aka Skellig Michael, Ireland); Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren; and Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, John Boyega as Finn, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, and BB-8 as himself.

The accompanying article doesn't provide much by way of details, but the magazine promises much more on Wednesday, when it releases the cover story, with reflections by director Rian Johnson and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, features returning cast members Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma and Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, joined by franchise newcomers Kelly Marie Tran as Rose, and Benicio del Toro and Laura Dern in undisclosed roles. The film opens on Dec. 15.
