Kelly Marie Tran was introduced as Resistance maintenance worker Rose today during the "The Last Jedi" at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, Florida.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" director Rian Johnson revealed Tran to the crowd while joined on stage by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Mark Hamill. A photo was also displayed showing Tran's Rose decked out dressed in a Resistance uniform. Tran divulged that her character is paired with Boyega's Finn as he recovers from his injury from "The Force Awakens."

Tran, best known for her roles in CollegeHumor Originals, "Ladies Like Us" and "About a Boy," was cast in the "Star Wars" sequel in February 2016.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” features returning cast members Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Anthony Daniels as C-3P), Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma and Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, joined by franchise newcomers Kelly Marie Tran as Rose, and Benicio del Toro and Laura Dern in undisclosed roles.
