"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" climbed to $786.1 million at the international box office this past weekend, bringing the global total to $1,536.3 million overall. Deadline reports the film's gross dropped 63% from last Monday, pulling in $14.5 million last weekend.

Nevertheless, "The Force Awakens" cinched a new record, becoming the 4th highest grossing film of all time; on its way to the top, the film has passed both "Marvel's Avengers" and "Furious 7."

To date, the latest "Star Wars" film has earned $146.9M in the UK; $83.3M in Germany; $70.6M in France; $55.7M in Japan and $51.7M in Australia.

Directed by J.J. Abrams, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” stars franchise veterans Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker, joined by newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie and Max von Sydow. The film is now playing in theaters.
