“It was a simple story about a boy who was lost and a girl who was broken,” she says. “They fought alongside a survivor, a war veteran and a fallen knight. I led them into battle against an evil so terrible it tried to black out the stars. We fought for each other, we fought for those who could not. But we never imagined it would end like this.”
Between the tears, fans are able to see there’s still a lot to look forward to in the fourth, and final, season of “Rebels,” including the arrival of the X-wing fighters, Yavin 4, and very possibly the long hoped-for freedom of Lothal from the grip of the Empire. Of course, we also have to contend with the very distinct possibility that some favorite characters won’t make it through the finale.
Debuting in 2014, “Star Wars Rebels” is set just before the events of 1977’s “Star Wars,” and focuses the rag-tag crew of the Ghost and the fledgling Rebellion as they rise up against the tightening grip of the Galactic Empire.
Airing on Disney XD, “Star Wars Rebels” stars Taylor Gray, Freddie Prinze Jr., Vanessa Hudgens, Tiya Sircar and Steve Blum.
