After The Mandalorian Season 2 finale, there has been a lot of speculation about Grogu's training and future as a Jedi -- including what his lightsaber will look like.

While some people have suggested the darksaber may be Grogu's weapon of choice, Reddit user u/ScaryIsGood has shared their design for The Child's own original lightsaber.

The design takes aesthetic ideas from Luke, Mando and Grogu's mysterious race. The Redditor said, "the main hilt was inspired by Luke's and Yoda’s lightsabers. Luke’s was the main inspiration though because Grogu is going to be learning from Luke. The material for the lightsaber is beskar, and I feel it would be really cool for the Mudhorn signet to be on it."

Perhaps the most inspired addition, however, is the inclusion of the Razorcrest gear shift knob as the lightsaber's pommel. With the beskar and the Mudhorn signet, this is a great callback to Grogu's time with Mando as well as a reminder of the earlier manifestations of his Force abilities.

The fairly short and stubby look, u/ScaryIsGood said, was due to the size of Grogu; Yoda's lightsaber, too, is shorter and stockier than the other characters'. They added that they, "had a hard toss up between Blue and Green. The reason I chose blue was because it would further differentiate Grogu from Yoda, and it would match with the color aesthetic of Mando".

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Disney+.
