A new photo of Luke Skywalker from the upcoming eighth chapter in the Star Wars saga, The Last Jedi, has surfaced, depicting a noticeably more sinister looking version of the wide-eyed farmboy-turned-Jedi from Tatooine that we first met in A New Hope.

The photo, which appears on the cover of a Hungarian film magazine, shows Mark Hamill's Jedi Knight draped entirely in black, with an outfit that's slightly reminiscent of his attire from Return of the Jedi.

Considering Luke was dressed in black throughout Return of the Jedi, the image may have little, if anything, to do with the character's allegiances in the film. Still, it's interesting to see that Hamill, who said he channeled Alec Guiness for his role in The Last Jedi, is dressed more like Kylo Ren than Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Arriving Dec. 15, director Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Domhnall Gleeson as General Armitage Hux, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma and Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke.
