Star Wars is expanding again, this time with a new project called The High Republicwhich is set 200 years before the events of The Phantom Menace. Multiple books, comics and potentially more will tell separate, but connected stories set in this time period, and among the new characters being introduced is a Wookiee Jedi named Burryaga Agaburry.

Little is known about Burryaga yet, but some minor details have emerged. Specifically, writer Charles Soule, who's penning Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi noted, "He is amazing. He’s very sensitive. He’s a very, very sensitive Jedi."

While this isn't much, it's notable that Soule used the word "sensitive" twice. Since our history with Wookies is fairly limited, especially in relation to the Jedi, one can't help but wonder if we'll see Burryaga rip people's arms out of their sockets, like Han Solo famously says about Chewbacca, or if his sensitivity is more reserved.

Star Wars: The High Republic kicks off in August at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim with Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, by Charles Soule. Other books and comics include Star Wars: The High Republic: Into the Dark, a young adult novel by Claudia Gray; Star Wars: The High Republic: A Test of Courage, a middle-grade novel by Justina Ireland; Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures, an IDW series by Daniel José Older; and a Marvel comics series titled Star Wars: The High Republic, by Cavan Scott.
