Bad Robot Productions this morning tweeted the above photo of the Star Wars: Episode VII clapboard, signaling the the start of principal photography on the J.J. Abrams film. The image was accompanied by the hashtag "#dayone."

Opening Dec. 18, 2015, the next installment of the blockbuster franchise is, of course, shrouded in secrecy, with only the primary cast officially confirmed (well, most of the primary cast, as Abrams said there's more to come). It's also possible that we know the film's working title.

Star Wars: Episode VII stars original trilogy cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, joined by John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow.
