It's a busy Tuesday for Disney: The studio has made release dates official for "Star Wars: Episode IX," the fifth "Indiana Jones" film, the "Frozen" sequel and the Jon Favreau-directed live-action "Lion King."

As revealed on StarWars.com, "Star Wars: Episode IX" -- the as-yet officially titled third film in the current trilogy that started with "The Force Awakens" -- is scheduled for release on May 24, 2019. This is a departure from the last three Star Wars films -- 2015's "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," 2016's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and the forthcoming "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" -- which all had mid-December release dates. Colin Trevorrow will direct.

StarWars.com also had word on another Lucasfilm production: the fifth "Indiana Jones" film, now scheduled for July 10, 2020. This is a change from the prior release date of July 19, 2019, which was announced in March 2016. As previously established, it'll be directed by Steven Spielberg and star Harrison Ford, both veterans of every Indiana Jones movie.

A tweet from Disney Animation revealed that the "Frozen" sequel -- currently referred to as "Frozen 2" -- is scheduled for Nov. 27, 2019.

Also on Twitter, Jon Favreau announced the release date for the live-action "The Lion King" -- the follow-up to his 2016 live-action "Jungle Book" -- is scheduled for release on July 19, 2019.

Clearly, 2019 is a big year for Disney films: Marvel Studios has "Captain Marvel" scheduled for March 8, 2019; the fourth "Avengers" film on May 3, 2019; and the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" sequel on July 5, 2019. Additionally, Pixar's "Toy Story 4" is scheduled for June 21, 2019.
