Engage! Paramount+ has released the official trailer for the third season of Star Trek: Picard, which promises to be Jean-Luc Picard's (Patrick Stewart) "final voyage."

Following last year's sneak peek and New York Comic Con teaser trailer, Picard Season 3's official trailer centers on Picard's bittersweet reunion with fellow Star Trek: The Next Generation characters William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), Worf (Michael Dorn) and Data's twin brother, Lore (Brent Spiner). The trailer also features Picard mainstays Rafaella "Raffi" Musiker (Michelle Hurd) and Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), not to mention a brief appearance by U.S.S. Enterprise-F. Furthermore, the trailer introduces two new cast members: Ed Speleers, who plays a "series regular who aids Beverly Crusher's medical efforts on worlds Starfleet has forgotten", and Todd Stashwick, who plays the captain of the U.S.S. Titan.

The third and final season of Picard is slated to premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday, Feb. 16. "In the epic, thrilling conclusion of Star Trek: Picard, a desperate message from a long-lost friend draws Starfleet legend Admiral Jean-Luc Picard into the most daring mission of his life, forcing him to recruit allies spanning generations old and new," an official synopsis reads. "This final adventure sets him on a collision course with the legacy of his past and explosive, new revelations that will alter the fate of the Federation forever." Despite Picard reuniting with old allies, however, something is very different this time around. As Riker tells the former captain of the Enterprise-D in the new trailer, "This is the end, my friend."

This Is the End (For You My Friend)

Picard originally premiered on Paramount+ (then known as CBS All Access) in 2020 as the de facto sequel to Star Trek: The Next Generation (which itself aired on first-run syndication for seven seasons from 1987 to 1994). The series is set 20 years after the events of the 2002 film Star Trek: Nemesis, which initially closed the book on the Next Generation era. Picard returned for a second season on Paramount+ in 2022, with the fast-approaching third season set to close out its run, as well as (ostensibly) mark Stewart's final time playing Jean-Luc Picard. Like Seasons 1 and 2, Picard Season 3 will run for 10 episodes in total.
