Just in time for his solo film, Black Panther is getting his own action figure. As revealed on ToyArk, the figure was designed by Square Enix as part of their Marvel Universe Play Arts Variant line of figures. Unlike previous Play Arts Variant figures, the Black Panther figure will stand at an oversized 10.6" tall. It is set to include three additional sets of interchangeable hands, two daggers and a figure stand. As for the design, which you can see in the photos below, it appears that Square Enix took inspiration from both the comics and T'Challa's Marvel Cinematic Universe look.

From the impressive linework to the eye-catching details and wonderfully crafted helmet, it's clear that the designers took bits and pieces from both the comic book character and his live-action adaption and wove them into a single design that manages to work.

The Play Arts Variant Black Panther figure is expected to release this October and will run around $133. For fans of Black Panther, this latest figure comes at a time when the hero's popularity is at an all-time high. After debuting in last year's Captain America: Civil War, Chadwick Boseman is set to return as T'Challa in Black Panther's first solo film in February. In addition to a recently released teaser trailer, the film is set to have a big presence at San Diego Comic-Con next month when Marvel Studios takes over Hall H for a presentation on their upcoming films in Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Opening February 16, 2018, Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, with Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown and John Kani.
