The Merc-With-A-Mouth has fostered quite a bromance with everyone's Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man in their ongoing series, "Spider-Man/Deadpool." Their fancy-free adventuring will be getting a shake-up, though, courtesy of a brand-new villain.

Speaking with PREVIEWSworld, writer Joe Kelly dished on some of the things fans can expect in upcoming Issue 9, and this new character, Itsy-Bitsy. Kelly described the villain succinctly, "a little bit wacky, a little bit dark, and a mix of Spidey and Deadpool. And Nightmares."

That wasn't all he had to say. Kelly went on to reveal that Itsy-Bitsy would have a methodical, cunning personality she'll use to her advantage. "In this case, I have a very clear sense of who the character is. She knows exactly what to say to upset you, freak you out, disarm you... clever but really base and nasty."

Kelly made it clear that Itsy-Bitsy's first appearance will be "strong and saucy," but indicated that there's more to this villain than meets the eye. "Maybe later, if everyone is good and does their chores, we'll get to the deeper levels," Kelly said. "But she'll have plenty of affectations in this first appearance."

Kelly's hope is that he and artist Ed McGuinness will be creating more than just a one-off bad guy. "We want to create a character that will endure and can hopefully stand on its own... before she sneaks into your room and hides in your closet."
