Although he took up the Spider-Man mantle less than a decade ago, Miles Morales has already donned a number of costumes in comics and other media. In Spider-Man: Miles Morales, he has a whopping 19 unlockable costumes, from recognizable fan-favorites to new suits that offer unique gameplay options.

Among the available suits in the new game, which is a sequel to Insomniac's 2018 smash hit, Marvel's Spider-Man, there are a handful that stand out among the rest, either for their design or the special abilities they offer Miles. Here are the five best suits in Spider-Man: Miles Morales, ranked.

5. Animated Suit

The Animated Suit is recognizable as the suit Miles wears in the current Spider-Man animated series. It comes with the ability Stronger Webs, which gives the player the option of stunning groups of foes and to provide a moment to escape or attack.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales players can unlock the Animated Suit by reaching Level 7 and obtaining 20 activity tokens, in addition to one tech part.

4. The End Suit

With its combat boots, camo pants and leather jacket, this minimalist Spider-Man look is perfect for slogging it out through the muddy snow of New York City. The End Suit takes number four on this list largely due to its utility.

While the game’s campaign isn’t particularly long, players who like to enjoy a more stealth-oriented approach to Spider-Man will revel in this costume’s modifier: Steady Focus, which slows the draining of camo while the player isn’t moving. It's perfect for surveying a situation without being noticed.

Players can unlock The End Suit by obtaining 16 activity tokens and two tech parts.

3. Bodega Cat Suit

The Bodega Cat Suit comes equipped with a spider-cat and a backpack to keep them safe while Miles swings through New York City. The cat will assist with certain takedowns by scratching and striking at enemies.

Players can acquire this suit by beating the main Spider-Man: Miles Morales campaign, as well as the "Cat's Pajamas" side story mission.

2. Purple Reign Suit

The Purple Reign Suit combines a Prince reference with an ode to Miles' uncle, Aaron Davis, aka the Prowler. Fans who want to know what Miles may look like in a new color palette will likely be drawn to this suit, which has purple and green accents, in addition to padded sides and killer boots. The costume unlocks the Reclaimer Mod, which replenishes one gadget ammo when players perform a stealth melee takedown.

To unlock the Purple Reign Suit, players must find Aaron's sound samples and complete a side mission with them.

1. Into the Spider-Verse Suit

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse changed the game for animation and catapulted Miles into the spotlight. The suit he designed for himself in the movie makes its way into Spider-Man: Miles Morales with a super unique mechanic and an incredible aesthetic. The framerate shifts and classic comics onomatopoeia will appear when Miles fights enemies.

Plus, the suit comes equipped with Vibe the Verse, which players can use to leap into the Spider-Verse and make the suit mimic the style of a different Earth in the Marvel Universe. To unlock the Into the Spider-Verse Suit, players need to reach Level 13 and acquire 18 activity tokens, as well as four tech parts. Players who pre-ordered the game received early access to the suit as a special bonus.
