Tom Holland’s portrayal of Spider-Man in this summer’s “Captain America: Civil War” was one of the highlights of the film, and marked Spider-Man’s first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, the he’s one step closer to hitting the silver screen once again. The webslinger’s next solo film, “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” has officially finished principal photography in Atlanta (via according to ComicBook.com).
Atlanta is where Marvel Studios has filmed their last three movies, dating back to “Ant-Man.” Tom Holland and other cast members took to social media to say goodbye to Atlanta, GA, before they boarded their jet.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” boasts a star-studded cast, including Holland, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier and Tony Revolori. Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey, Jr. will reprise their roles as Aunt May and Tony Stark/Iron Man, respectively. Michael Keaton is set to play the Vulture, the primary antagonist of the film, and Jon Favreau will make his return to the MCU as Happy Hogan.
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.
