When photos surfaced last month showing Tom Holland alongside DJ Khaled, many suspected the DJ/producer would have a cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming. However, a new TV spot reveals the scene they were spotted filming was actually part of a series of promos tied to the NBA Finals.
The TV spots center around plans for Tony Stark’s NBA Finals viewing party. In this third and final promo, Holland’s Spider-Man races to buy snacks at a New York City bodega, only to find himself stuck in line behind DJ Khaled, who’s also going to the soiree. Before the promo debuted, Khaled tweeted a video of his reaction to meeting the web-slinger.

Although brief and clearly not a part of the film, the NBA Finals promos for Spider-Man: Homecoming have proved a smart strategy for Marvel Studios and Sony, promoting the film to an even broader audience.
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
Arriving July 7, the franchise reboot stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.
