After earning an estimated $13.4 million in North America over the weekend, Spider-Man: Homecoming brought its domestic tally to $278.3 million in its fourth frame. Internationally, the film earned another $19.7 million from 64 markets, bringing its overseas haul to $355.4 million and its worldwide gross to an impressive $633.7 million.

The franchise reboot still has two key markets ahead of it: Japan (Aug. 11) and China (Sept. 8).

Although Spider-Man: Homecoming faced a significant drop-off in its second weekend of release, it has surpassed both Amazing Spider-Man films at the domestic box office. The film should easily top $700 million worldwide, once it opens in Japan. What remains to be seen, however, is whether the China box office can help the film cross $800 million by the end of its theatrical run. For comparison's sake, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 finished with $709 million, while The Amazing Spider-Man completed its run with $757.9 million.

In theaters now, director Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man and Michael Keaton as Vulture, in addition to Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.
