Next month sees the launch of J.J. and Henry Abrams' Spider-Man miniseries, with Sara Pichelli. And Marvel Comics has released a trailer of the father-son team introducing the upcoming comic book.

Along with Executive Editor Nick Lowe, the Abrams tease what's to come in the five-issues miniseries, including art by Pichelli and colorist Dave Stewart, not to mention the story's all-new main antagonist, Cadaverous.

"Cadaverous is one of the most terrifying Spider-Man villains of all time and that's saying something!" declares Lowe as the hulking foe is seen leading his minions to confront Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson. "Spidey has faced the Green Goblin, Carnage, Venom and Cadaverous might be even scarier and a little bit grosser than any of them."

First announced this past June, Abrams and his son observe that working in the comic medium has been a thrilling, new challenge creatively for them and praise Pichelli's work. While introducing the new villain, the writers promise to keep the action grounded on Peter Parker as the superhero goes in on the fight of his life.
