Don’t call it a comeback — actress Kirsten Dunst told MTV that she would return as Mary Jane Watson. “I’m in,” Dunst said. “I’m not saying anything, I know there’s rumors …” The film will be released in 2011.
THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS
The new rumor from Batman-On-Film is that Christopher Nolan is bringing the band back as early as next year, with preproduction starting … er, now.
TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN
Some scenes will be done in glorious IMAX, according to a press release at Superhero Hype. “The extraordinary level of detail and intensity captured by the IMAX camera creates many exciting possibilities for us with this film,” said director Michael Bay. “IMAX’s all-encompassing format will take this story to a new level, and I am once again very excited to share The IMAX Experience with Transformers fans around the world.” This is echoed by a report in Variety claiming that at least three scenes from the new film will be shot in the high definition format.

COWBOYS AND ALIENS
Screenwriters Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby talked to MTV about bringing the Platinum Studios property to life. “As far as we know, it’s all a go,” Ostby said. “We’re just hoping it does because it felt like the right time for this kind of film and I just want to see how we’ll pull off all the cool stuff in it. It’s ridiculous. It’s one of those movies that every idea that you can come up with is actually something you can pull off these days. There’s no reason to edit yourself.”
I HAVE TO TAKE THIS CALL
We can’t do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos — they’re all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, “What do you mean your sister’s dating somebody who works for Warner Brothers?” The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web’s rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we’ve got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, and The Hundred and Four thinks Sylar makes a great agent.
