Spider-Man 4, Shazam!, Kick-Ass: Nov 11th Comic Reel

SPIDER-MAN 4

The likelyhood of Black Cat appearing the film ticks closer to certainty last night. Slashfilm is confirming the credibility of a source that talked to a website called “Hey U Guys.” According to that site, Black Cat will be “the daughter of the new editor of The Daily Bugle … She falls in love with Peter Parker, and uncovers his true identity. Her father then dies, and Hardy becomes a threat to Peter Parker (presumably as The Black Cat).” The report mentions this new father will be “the viper.” It’s unclear if this is a character trait or a new villian.

Directed by Sam Raimi, release date: May 5th, 2011

SHAZAM!

Writer Bill Birched talked with CineFOOLS about the adaptation of DC’s Captain Marvel. “It’s the ultimate in wish fulfillment and obviously that will be a theme in the script,” he says. “Tonally I think it’s important to successfully find the balance of comedy and danger in the story. That’s a major aspect I’m focusing on. Frankly hitting the right tone is what’s going to either get this made or keep it in development hell.”

The other night, I could not remember the upcoming movies I was curious or excited about. Between “Kick-Ass,” “Clash of the Titans,” and the upcoming “Ninja Assassin” it’s getting to be a jam-packed movie schedule. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of Junior Mints at the theatre.
