Wesley Snipes once again expressed his desire to reprise his lead role in the movie franchise “Blade” in any format -- TV or film -- Marvel Studios would be willing to undertake. in his latest action affirming his desire to return to the character, the star of the “Blade” trilogy gave a tongue-in-cheek nod to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign slogan on Twitter.

The tweet quickly morphed into the #MakeAmericaBladeAgain hashtag, and the actor doubled-down on his Trump-inspired meme, retweeting the following fan-made photo.

This isn’t the first time Snipes has tweeted about his desire to reprise his role as the half-vampire Daywalker. Only a few months ago he made his intentions pretty explicit to fans.

In fact, this is just the latest in a long list of occurrences of Snipes expressing his interest in reviving the cult franchise. In September 2015, the actor referred to a “really productive and wonderful meeting” he had with Marvel Studios to discuss the project.

Of course, there's been no official word on the status of a film or TV production featuring the character from Marvel Studios, Disney or even New Line, who distributed the first film back in 1998. Given the star’s enthusiasm, though, and the success of “Deadpool,” which has grossed a whopping $782 million worldwide, might Marvel Studios be a little more inclined to invest in another R-rated ‘superhero’ movie this year?

Wesley Snipes certainly hopes so.
