Filmmaker and comics writer Kevin Smith has been revealed as a playable character in "LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham," alongside Green Arrow -- voiced by Stephen Amell -- and such other recent additions as Deadshot, Deathstroke and Polka-Dot Man (seriously!). And if that isn't enough, DC Entertainment's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns will also find himself immortalized in (digital) plastic as a playable character.

Johns, Smith and Amell are set to appear on the game's Oct. 11 panel at New York Comic Con.

Arriving Nov. 11 from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games, LEGO Batman 3 takes the Dark Knight, well, beyond Gotham, as he joins with other DC Comics heroes and villains in outer space to top Brainiac from destroying Earth. The game will feature more than 150 playable characters.

Smith, whose comedy-horror film Tusk opened last month, is co-writing DC Comics' digital-first series Batman '66 Meets the Green Hornet.

New York Comic Con will be held Oct. 9-12 at the Javitz Center in New York City.
