SMALLVILLE

Aquaman speaks! That's right, KryptonKnight (registration required) has an interview with Alan Ritchson, the once and future King of Atlantis, who takes the role seriously. "This is a major comic book character. Most other characters are well established but this one is funny to me because he is a big character but he hasn't been portrayed a lot in major motion pictures or television shows, there was 'The Man from Atlantis' a couple years ago but nothing really big so a lot of people don't really know the background of the character and it seems the writers of the comic books have different takes on it. It was interesting finding out who he was and how I decided to play him because there were so many different directions I could take it."

Meanwhile, our pals at Kryptonsite (funny that they rhyme) has a new image gallery released by the network, of Arthur Curry's small screen debut, and (of course with spoilers) the official network description of the episode, called "Aqua." They also have screen captures from the trailer for the next episode, "Mortal."

These photos have already knocked one website off the 'net, but over at the Superhero Hype message boards you can see set photos of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier, and Halle Berry as Storm (with a new hairdo as well). That might be Ian McKellan as Magneto, but from this angle, who knows?

THE FLASH

No, not the proposed David Goyer-penned big screen version -- TVShowsOnDVD.com notes that the complete 22-episode series will be released by Warner Home Video on January 10, 2006, with a suggested retail price of $59.98.
