SMALLVILLE

Kryptonsite has thirteen new preview images of a very tropical themed episode called "Hypnotic," which will be seen on March 30th.

TONIGHT, HE COMES

According to Variety (subscription required), director Jonathan Mostow has backed out of directing the Will Smith-fueled adaptation, because Mostow and Smith found they weren't on the same page creatively. Mostow will remain on the project as executive producer. The studio will begin the search for a new director quickly so that the project can stay on track for a June start.

AQUAMAN

Speaking of Variety, the trade also reports that Rick Peters ("Close to Home") has joined the cast. No information is given about his character.

GHOST RIDER

Director Mark Steven Johnson swung by the Superhero Hype message boards to let fans know when they'll get a good look at Johnny Blaze. "The long wait for a theatrical trailer is almost over," Johnson wrote. "Look for 'Ghost Rider' to be on 'X-Men 3!' May is almost here! You'll get to see him on the big screen (if only for a minute) instead of on your computer." He also lets slip a spoiler based on collectibles from the film.

GREEN LANTERN

TV Guide's Michael Ausiello says "former 'Dawson's Creek' star Kerr Smith is pretty interested in slipping on the green ensemble."

X-MEN 3

Actor Vinnie Jones has been especially chatty, including a new interview with About.com, where he talks about who he fights and who he hung out with off camera. "With Wolverine mainly," Jones said. "It was incredible, Brett wanted most of the actors to do as much as they can. I mean, Halle Berry does this amazing stunt where she spins down about 40 feet and goes through this garden through the wall and she does it all herself. ItÕs awesome. And weÕve done some frightening stuff. ItÕs so great with that because me and Halle and Hugh worked on 'Swordfish' together so it was a little reunion. We had good fun."

V FOR VENDETTA

Gotta get in those last news bits before the Friday opening. British magazine Digit has a somewhat spoiler-esque article about the effects for the film, especially blowing things up. Mmm, blowing things up is cool.

MASTER OF KUNG FUM&C Movies has a tidbit they caught from a Spanish newspaper where director Ang Lee confirmed his involvement in bringing Shang Chi to the big screen.

SPIDER-MAN 3

Actress Elizabeth Banks is reprising her role of Betty Brant in the web-spinning sequel, and she's quoted at Sci Fi Wire as not being sure how involved she really is. "I learned my lesson a long time ago that everything can be cut," Banks said. "You should maybe write Sam Raimi a letter. I'm very aware of [the character's history]. Make him aware. Tell him I'm actually Venom!"

WHAT'S THE WORD?

Here's where you get in on the action. Did you see a link we didn't catch? Have you snuck into a closed movie set, and have inside data? Maybe your cousin is dating somebody who knows something, and they had to tell you? Whatever it is, we wanna know it all -- fire off an email and let us know whether you want your name used or your contributions to geekdom to go down anonymously. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is novelist/karaoke host/all-around lunatic Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, and [tagline sent back to development hell until something hipper can be dreamed up].
