Comic Book Movie has an design for Superman costume rumored to appear as early as the first episode of the upcoming season. It is capeless and pretty much in keeping with the costume aesthetic the show has adopted. Of course, the face seen in the illustration looks more Reeve-ish than it does Tom Welling.

Collider is reporting Gary Oldman let slip a rough shooting date for the next Batman film. “According to Gary, the next “Batman” film will start shooting next year,” says he site. Nuke the Fridge claims to have the exact quote: “I think the next Batman is next year. We start shooting next year. But you didn’t hear that from me” A little later, Ain’t It Cool News posted an update from Oldman. “Well, I’m sure they want to do another one… it might 2 or 3 years…” paraphrased AICN’s Quint. Did Oldman say too much?

A couple of weeks back, we heard rumblings about DC beginning an animated short films line begining with a “Jonah Hex” short. I twittered this as it happened, DC’s Gregory Noveck announced it is happening. “Jonah Hex” is, indeed, first. The line will be called “DC Showcase.” Noveck did not mention if the short will appear on an upcoming DC Universe feature length title, as the rumors mentioned.
