Smallville, Button Man, Blade, Who Wants To Be A Superhero: January 13th Comic Reel Wrap

SMALLVILLE

Our pals at Kryptonsite have fresh screen captures for the January 26th episode, “Lockdown.”

BUTTON MAN

According to Variety, “A History of Violence” exec producers Josh Braun and Roger Kass have sold off rights to “Button Man: The Killing Game” — a graphic novel by John Wagner and Arthur Ranson — to DreamWorks for a bigscreen adaptation.

BLADE

Creator David Goyer talked to Now Playing Magazine about the upcoming Spike TV series. “We talked about doing a TV show actually since the first Blade film,” Goyer said. “We tossed around a couple of different ideas. But something I realized [was] that in order to do it for TV, we had to do something that TV could do better than the features. And one of the things that the fans always seemed to be really interested in were all the inner workings and machinations of the vampire world.”

WHO WANTS TO BE A SUPERHERO?

Superhero Hype has a press release on the new Sci Fi Network show, spearheaded by Stan “The Man” Lee. Maybe this guy will have a shot?

THAT’S A WRAP

Don’t be triskadelaphobic today — here’s where you get in on the action. Did you see a link we didn’t catch? Have you snuck into a closed movie set, and have inside data? Maybe your cousin is dating somebody who knows something, and they had to tell you? Whatever it is, we wanna know it all — fire off an email and let us know whether you want your name used or your contributions to geekdom to go down anonymously. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is novelist/reviewer/karaoke host/all-around lunatic Hannibal Tabu saying thanks for your time and indulgence, I’m told you’ll get fresh comics reviews today (Friday is the new regular day for ’em, apparently) and [tagline sent back to development hell until something hipper can be dreamed up].
