The Creator’s Studio Workshop is a series of panel discussions instructional workshops and portfolio reviews held in the SLG Office/warehouse in San Jose CA. The day long event will cover subjects from writing for comics, to thinking visually to simple discussions how certain creators approached the craft. ” I feel like the Creator’s Workshop is one of the best events we put on during the year” said SLG President Dan Vado “I have been blown away by the response to the first few we did since we revived the class concept, people have come from a long distance to attend, one person flew in from Minnesota, another from Oklahoma and another couple made a weekly drive from Oregon to attend our writer’s workshop!”

Also included in the days events are a workshop lead by SLG President Dan Vado on how to put together a comic or graphic novel proposal. Vado will also review portfolios for al in attendance. “The proposal panel will, of course, be presented from the SLG perspective, but I think a lot of other publishers ask for much the same information we do so there should be a good deal of carry-over and value for people regardless of where they plan on submitting their project” added Vado
