The comic book community is responding to the unfolding tragedy surrounding Hurricane Harvey, and it's giving back.

Redneck creator Donny Cates, a Texas native, and Skybound Entertainment are teaming up to give back to the state of Texas in their time of need. Skybound is offering a limited edition blue Redneck "Texas Forever" T-shirt on their online store, with proceeds going to support the Houston Coalition for the Homeless.

For $25, fans can do something to help the people of Houston who have been displaced by the unprecedented and catastrophic flooding in Southeast Texas.

Cates personally chose the charity, believing in their mission "to provide leadership in the development, advocacy and coordination of community strategies to prevent and end homelessness.”

Redneck is written by Donny Cates and drawn by Lisandro Estherren. Dee Cunniffe also provides colors and covers for the series. It follows a clan of Texan vampires known as the Bowmans, who own a local barbecue joint and live off cows' blood -- until they are forced to go to war. The series debuted in April 2017 and a collected edition of the first six issues has already been announced.
