As filming began Monday on the long-promised Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, two more actresses have joined the sequel to the 2005 adaptation of the neo-noir comics by Frank Miller.

Heat Vision reports that Jaime King, who played twin prostitutes Goldie and Wendy in the first film, will return as Wendy, while Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch) will replace Devon Aoki as the katana-wielding, roller-skating assassin Miho.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For reunites co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Miller for a film based in part on the second volume of Miller’s acclaimed Dark Horse crime comic, as well as the short story “Just Another Saturday Night” and one new segment “The Long, Bad Night.”

Original cast members Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson are confirmed to be returning for the sequel, which includes segments set before and after the events of the first film (which explains the involvement of Rourke). Although Clive Owen's participation hasn't been confirmed, Heat Vision contends he is "understood to be returning" as Dwight, the photographer who undergoes reconstructive surgery after suffering near-fatal gunshot wound. The production still needs to cast the roles of the manipulative Eva and the smooth gambler Johnny (a new character), as well as find an actor to play a post-surgery Dwight.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For opens Oct. 4, 2013.
