Sin City 2, Kavalier & Clay, Heroes, Spider-Man 3: Comic Reel Wrap for December 29th

SIN CITY 2

Even if you can’t read Italian, you should be able to figure out the information on this page indicating that Frank Miller has confirmed that actress Angelina Jolie will be joining the cast for the noirish sequel.

KAVALIER & CLAY

In an article at Comingsoon.net, actor Ben Whishaw indicated that the nascent Michael Chabon adaptation may be looking for a new direction. “I think it’s not happening now,” Whishaw said. “I think it’s been sort of put to one-side for a little while. It all fell apart, which is such a shame. I have not read the book even, but it’s a wonderful project. I hope at some point it’s revived.”

HEROES

According to Superhero Hype, anxious fans can get an early look at a clip from the new season when actor Masi Oka visits the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, which will be seen January 3rd, 2007.

Also, according to the Hollywood Reporter (subscription required), the show was also nominated to win a nomination for the Golden Globes.

SPIDER-MAN 3

Actor James Franco told Sci Fi Wire that his character makes sense now that he makes a mess. “I think the great thing about Harry is although heÑin the past few filmsÑhas turned to the dark side, he has reasons for it,” Franco said. “And although the audience knows what the truth is, they can still understand why Harry does what he does in the ignorance of the truth. So it’s not just that he turns dark just because it’s fun. He has very justifiable reasons for why he does what he does. It’s a great arc that has been set up for all three films.”

SMALLVILLE

Kryptonsite has the title for this season’s sixteenth episode on their spoiler page.

KWANZAA DAY THREE: UJAMAA

Every year I post the principle of the day for the holiday Kwanzaa because I celebrate it. I’m not evangelizing, feel no pressure to get down in the same way, I’m just celebrating. The principle for today is for “Cooperative Economics: To build and maintain our own stores, shops and other businesses and to profit from them together.”

As for the column, we can’t do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos — they’re all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, “What do you mean your sister’s dating somebody who works for Miles Millar?” The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web’s rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we’ve got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu (web site, MySpace blog) saying thank you for your time and indulgence, you can get comics reviews tomorrow, we’ll see you Tuesday and “enough talk — let’s go make with the ‘biff’ and the ‘pow’ already.”
