A handful of new set photos from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" have surfaced on Twitter (via ComicBookMovie.com), revealing Brian Tee and Brittany Ishibashi in costume as Shredder and his daughter, Karai.

Both roles have been recast from last year's blockbuster "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film, with Tee replacing Tohoru Masamune and Ishibashi taking over for Minae Noji. Ishibashi was announced for the role yesterday.

Shredder has been the main antagonist in nearly every version of "Ninja Turtles" lore, created by franchise masterminds Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird and first appearing in 1984's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" #1.

Karai debuted in Eastman and Laird's "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series in 1992 and has since appeared on screen in the 2003 and 2012 cartoons. The character appeared in last year's film, though she didn't have a large role in the action. She often finds herself at odds with the Ninja Turtles and particularly their leader Leonardo, though she has also been their uneasy ally at times.

Directed by franchise newcomer David Green,"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" is scheduled for release on June 3, 2016 and also stars Megan Fox, Stephen Amell, Johnny Knoxville, Tyler Perry and Will Arnett. Its predecessor, the first live-action "Ninja Turtles" film in more than two decades, was released last summer and earned $485 million in worldwide box office.
