If you thought Image Comics' Shirtless Bear-Fighter was going to let the opportunity for a Skottie Young variant pass by, you've made a grave bearror.

CBR has the first look at the limited "Skottie Young's Baby Beariant" for July's Shirtless Bear-Fighter #2. Like Young's many variant covers for Marvel over the years, this features a youthful (yet still powerfully bearded) take on the series' protagonist, the titular Shirtless Bear-Fighter. And like the opening scenes in this month's Shirtless Bear-Fighter #1, the main character is also shown pantsless, with pixelation obscuring his... lower area.

Written by Jody LeHeup and Sebastian Girner and illustrated by Nil Vendrell and Mike Spicer, Shirtless Bear-Fighter debuted with its first issue last week, but piqued the interest of the comics industry months before that, with its refreshingly straightforward and attention-grabbing title and premise. The comic has received positive reviews, including from CBR's Emma Lawson, who wrote, "It’s campy and absurd, but anyone picking up a comic called Shirtless Bear Fighter knows exactly what they’re getting into. You won’t be disappointed."

Yet the comic's creators say not to expect the series to only be absurd. Girner told CBR, "SBF’s tone is pretty unique. It’s relentlessly silly on the surface, but there are moments of real gravitas in there that are accentuated by all the gonzo stuff surrounding it."

Shirtless Bear-Fighter #2, the second installment of a five-issue miniseries, is scheduled for release on July 26.
