By his own admission, Shia LaBeouf is not famous anymore, but he's still making movies. The Transformers veteran next appears in the World War II drama Fury, and beyond that, he's set for another intense thriller: Man Down.

Variety reports LaBeouf has joined director Dito Montiel's psychological thriller, alongside the legendary Gary Oldman, as well as House of Cards alum and future Fantastic Four star Kate Mara. It tells the story of "a haunted Afghanistan war veteran who attempts to come to terms with his past while searching for his family in a post-apocalyptic America," according to Variety.

Production begins on Oct. 30 in New Orleans.
