Shelf Porn Saturday | A room to make any fan green with envy

by  in Comic News Comment

It’s Saturday, so it must be time for Shelf Porn! Today’s collection comes from Lance, a comic fan and veteran who shares his collection of long boxes, statues, replicas and more.

If you’d like to see your collection here, drop me an email at jkparkin@yahoo.com with a brief write-up and some jpgs. Let’s make it happen!

And now here is Lance …

Hi, My name is Lance. I have been collecting comics since I was a little guy when I read my first comic What If Punisher had killed Spider-Man? I really started to get in to collecting when I returned home from Iraq in 2007, and I am still going strong (as you can tell with the 45 long boxes). I just recently came across this section of Comic Book Resources and thought I would share my collection.

As I already said, I have a ton of comics, last count was 11,310. I’m sure you can notice that I made the shelves myself due to the very rough look, but it works and it was cheap. I have a few of my graded comics on the wall mounted and my most recent addition was the Thor #337 above my Beta Ray Bill hammer which was just signed by Walter Simonson at the Baltimore Comic-Con. Also I just mounted the Conan sword with two art prints to both sides of it the other day (might be a little crooked) which I think looks nice. I have numerous statues through out the room: Black Panther, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Iron Man, and Batman. I have a Darth Vader light saber mounted over my computer along with Star Wars #1 and #107(last issue). Also if you cant tell, due to the picture, that is Storm Shadow’s sword above the window (I think it’s from Valor Vs. Venom). Last but not least is my big comfy reading chair, I couldn’t tell how many hours I have read comics in that, but it’s a lot.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my little slice of heaven, and I plan on improving and posting more pictures in the future.
