Proving once and for all that the fabled sequel to the 1994 fighting game isn't merely a myth, Shaquille O'Neal last night unveiled the teaser trailer for Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn during The Game Awards.

"Oh, I'm kicking everybody's ass," the former NBA star says at the end of the teaser.

There's not much game footage in the trailer -- it's mostly animated backstory -- but it's probably enough to get nostalgic fans excited a return to the brawler (which wasn't exactly a critical darling).

Produced by Saber Interactive, the sequel is the result of a 2014 crowdfunding campaign launched by Shaq and Big Deez Productions that generated $473,884 in pledges.

Although no release date has been announced, Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn will be available on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.
