Universal Pictures and producers Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan have big plans for April 21, 2017. They're just not telling us what they are.

Variety reports that date will see the release of the second film in the shared Universal Monsters universe, which will definitely include the Mummy and most likely characters like Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula, the Creature from the Black Lagoon and the Invisible Man.

After Kurtzman and Roberto Orci ended their longtime movie partnership, Universal announced that the Fast and the Furious producer Morgan would join Kurtzman to oversee a shared cinematic universe. Kurtzman is directing the first entry, The Mummy. That film is scheduled to shamble into theaters on June 24, 2016.

Dracula Untold, which began production before the idea of connecting these films came about, debuted Oct. 10 with an additional scene that brought brought the character into modern times.
