Among the flurry of news and debuts coming out of Marvel Studios' Hall H presentation at Comic-Con International is news that "The Walking Dead" star Danai Gurira has joined "Black Panther."

She'll play Okoye, a Marvel Comics character introduced in 1998's "Black Panther" #1 as one of the Dora Milaje, an order of bodyguards for the king of Wakanda.

Gurira joins Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger and Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia.

Gurira's other credits include "The Visitor," "Mother of George" and "Treme."
