"Supergirl" is making waves at Comic-Con Intentional in San Diego. Stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, Tyler Hoechlin and executive producer Sarah Schechter arrived for a special video presentation for the show's sophomore season and a discussion about what's coming up for the Girl of Steel.

Asked how "Supergirl" will join the FlArrow-verse, Schechter said, "It's very complicated and I'd have to kill you. We're super excited for the crossover of all four shows."

"This show is about family," she added, explaining that Kara will reconnect with her cousin Clark Kent this season and that he will become part of that family.

"When I did the panel this time last year, I had no idea I was going to be Martian Manhunter. It was a great surprise for me," Harewood said of playing Martian Manhunter.

"What's really cool is this season is we've established how much Alex is in the DEO... and that journey and her relationship with Kara, but we didn't really get to see her outside of those elements. This season is more of an opportunity to learn a little more about her," Leigh shared. "Where does Alex live? I have no idea!"

As to Kara and Jimmy's romance, Brooks said, "It's going to have ups and downs. She's still finding out who she is as a woman, and I'm still finding out who I am. So, we'll see!"

"In the first season, we saw Winn go from this... unconfident guy, and through all these other people... he's come into his own, and become pretty confident. I think confidence is sexy!" Jordan said. He also hinted that Winn might be working a little more with the DEO.

Hoechlin took the microphone next. "It's definitely, incredibly surreal. I know the character represents so much to so many people... This is not a generational thing. This is something spread across so much time. There's a responsibility to the character... I'm really excited."

"I have no tried on the suit yet," he added. "That'll be a moment for sure."

"I don't know how to articulate how it makes me feel... I think she lends herself to be a role model, just who she is and what she stands for," Benoist shared. "Moments with young girls and seeing their faces light up... it would have meant so much to me as a young girl."

Leigh also shared a story about bringing her young daughters to set and the way they were wowed by Benoist in character.

"Clark has a very different experience of what it means to have superpowers on Earth. He was raised with them... so there's some headbutting and some approaches that are different," Schechter revealed.

"[Maggie Sawyer] is real tough and a real badass," she said, but played coy when the moderator asked slyly after Batwoman, who is Sawyer's girlfriend in the comics.

"I think we should expect that a female president is going to lead well," she joked when asked after Lynda Carter's role as President of the United States.

Schechter also confirmed that Chris Wood's character is the one in the pod in the Season 1 finale.

Asked about a musical episode, Schecter said, "I think it'd be silly not to recognize all the talent we have on the show." However, she didn't confirm nor deny any official plans.

"It's pretty much a musical on our set. Everybody's singing all the time," Leigh pitched in.

The second season of "Supergirl" is scheduled to premiere October 10 on The CW, switching networks after a first season on CBS.
