Although it may not be able to make the Death Star trench run, Mattel's giant-size X-wing Hot Wheels Carship can reach speeds of up to 160 mph. Presumably that's without invoking the Force.

Designed by Dmitriy Shakhmatov, and produced through a partnership between Mattel and Lucasfilm, it's based on the die-cast vehicle that will be released later this years as part of the Hot Wheels Carships line.

Co-Create delves into the creation of the car, which required more than a year, from commission to design to construction. The X-wing will be on display this week at the Hot Wheels booth at Comic-Con International in San Diego.
