Legendary Pictures has kicked off the countdown to its Hall H presentation Saturday at Comic-Con International with a motion poster for "Kong: Skull Island."
The image depicts who we can presume to be Tom Hiddleston holding a smoke grenade atop the by-now-familiar gargantuan gorilla skull. It ends the ominous words "Kong Is Coming." It seems likely the mist will clear in subsequent posters, perhaps giving a glimpse of the title character ahead of the trailer premiere.
Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, the film is set in the 1970s, as a team is sent to investigate a mysterious island discovered by a NASA satellite.
Opening March 10, 2017, “Kong: Skull Island” also stars Brie Larson, John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson, Jing Tian, John Ortiz, Shea Whigham and Toby Kebbell.
