If you were wondering what Michael Rooker's Yondu would be up to in the sequel to Marvel Studios' "Guardians of the Galaxy," the answer -- for now -- is looking pretty darn regal. Marvel posted a tweet from the Comic-Con International in San Diego show floor featuring a portrait of Yondu that appears in the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."

Yondu, the blue skinned mercenary who kidnapped and raised Peter Quill in 2014's "Guardians of the Galaxy," is pictured in the portrait menacingly holding his weapon of choice, a Yaka Arrow (which he controls through whistling).

Straight from the #GotGVol2 set to the #MarvelSDCC stage, this Yondu portrait will be see on his ship, the Eclector! pic.twitter.com/3sseIzwM1j- Marvel Entertainment (@Marvel) July 21, 2016

The ornately gold framed painting of the leader of the Ravagers comes straight from the set of James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." Much like the plot to the upcoming sequel, not much is known right now about the painting, other than it will hang on Yondu's ship, "the Elector." In the meantime, though, Yondu's portrait will be on display at SDCC from July 21 through July 24.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper lands in theaters May 5, 2017.
