With a introduction video screened today at its Comic-Con International presentation, HBO's Game of Thrones confirmed casting additions for its upcoming fifth season -- among them Star Trek: Deep Space Nine alum Alexander Siddig as Doran Martell, the ruling prince of Dorne.

Viewers of the hit fantasy drama who haven't read George R.R. Martin's novels will likely recognize the character's last name: He's the older brother Oberyn Martell (aka the Red Viper), who met his gruesome end last season at the hand of the Mountain.

Siddig is joined by Toby Sebastian as Trystane Martell, the son of Prince Doran and heir to Dorne who's betrothed by Myrcella Baratheon; Nell Tiger Free as Myrcella Baratheon, the daughter of Cersei Lannister and the late King Robert Baratheon Jaime Lannister; DeObia Oparei as Areo Hotah, the long-serving captain of Doran Mortell's palace guard; Enzo Cilenti as Yezzan, an extremely wealthy slave trader before Daenerys Targaryen outlawed the practice; Jessica Henwick as Nymeria (“Nym”) Sand, second-eldest of Prince Oberyon's bastard daughters (known collectively as the Sand Snakes) who's deadly with a whip; Rosabell Laurenti Sellers as Tyene Sand, the twin dagger-wielding daughter of Prince Oberyon by his final paramour Ellaria Sand; Keisha Castle-Hughes as Obara Sand, the eldest of the Sand Snakes; and Jonathan Pryce as the High Sparrow, High Septon of the Faith of the Seven who came to King's Landing to serve the poor and infirm, and quickly developed a large following. The fifth season of Game of Thrones will premiere next spring on HBO.
