The wife-and-husband creative team of Meredith and David Finch have already gotten a lot of discussion around their incoming take on "Wonder Woman" for DC Comics, and that was before the first full pages were even out, let alone the first issue.

Today, DC takes one step towards making the book a reality for readers by sharing first look at David Finch's pages for "Wonder Woman" #36 -- the couple's debut issue, which arrives in November.

In addition to a surprise appearance from DC horror icon the Swamp Thing, the images connect with the teases given by the Finches in an interview with CBR earlier this month. "While there's going to be some of what [Brian Azzarello has] created, because I'd be foolish not to take advantage of what he's got, we're definitely going to steer the book a little more into a more mainstream -- I guess I'd say there will be some superhero stuff in it," Meredith explained.

"The main theme we wanted to touch on is just Wonder Woman as a character and as a person," David added. "She has her personal life with Superman, and she has her professional life with the Justice League, and she also has to deal with the Amazons and the gods -- and all these things conflict with each other."
