Even though Scott Pilgrim vs. The World lost the battle in terms of finding global commercial success, the film remains a well-reviewed, original and certainly budding cult classic in many circles. Those fans came out in full force earlier this week in Los Angeles at an American Cinematheque screening of Scott Pilgrim hosted by Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth filmmaker Guillermo del Toro in anticipation of the film's upcoming Blu-ray release.

Del Toro played emcee for the evening, steering a question and answer session with Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O'Malley, director Edgar Wright and Scott himself, Michael Cera. Topics covered included the project's origins, the merits of the comic book medium, video games and the infamous Thomas Jane cameo. While we sadly weren't in attendance, the power of the internet has made it so we can all watch the fruits of the interview. Awesome!
