Have you ever had something you wanted to do all your life but never have been able to do it? You know, dreams? Montreal artist Salgood Sam has had something gnawing at him for his entire adult life, and something that's been on his drawing board for the past eight years: Dream Life.

It's a webcomic/graphic novel the artist has been working on him for nearly a decade, serializing it online as his work schedule permits. And now, the comic is complete, but one step away from its final goal of a print edition. As a longtime self-publisher, Salgood Sam is reaching out for help.

He's launched a Kickstarter to raise $3,000 (Canadian) to fund the print publication and book tour for Dream Life, all planned to launch in May at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF). The artist inched past his goal -- by $77 -- but if he reaches certain higher levels he would be able to expand the print run and expand his book tour across Canada.

Salgood Sam calls Dream Life a "late coming of age" story that follows a group of friends in their late 20s and early 30s trying match what their ideas of being an adult are with what being an adult actually is. These friends, some flung around the world, are reuniting for an annual harvest bonfire and it intertwines their various journeys -- both real and in the dream world.
