Several months back, test footage for a proposed "Deadpool" film made a splash when it leaked online. The computer animated clip, which featured the voice of Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth, went viral as fans found themselves hoping that Fox was once again considering bringing the character back to the big screen.

In September, the studio announced "Deadpool," with Tim Miller attached to direct the film, scheduled for release on Feb. 12, 2016. While fans hoped Reynolds was in talks to reprise his role as the character -- he previously portrayed Wade Wilson in 2009's critically-panned "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" -- there was no word, official or otherwise, indicating he was involved with the project.

Today, Reynolds took to Twitter, sharing a piece of Deadpool art with the statement, "Uh... It's Chimichanga Time."

Reynolds subsequently tweeted a credit to @mikeoncley for the Deadpool art, which is created from a variety of shotgun shells.
