News broke on Monday that BOOM! Studios acquired fellow comic publisher Archaia Entertainment, a move that many saw as a great way for BOOM! to increase its intellectual property catalog for potential Hollywood ventures.

Interestingly enough, the same day Deadline announced just such a deal: Fox 2000 has acquired the rights from Archaia to adapt its upcoming retelling of Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre called Rochester.

Ramon Perez, who illustrated Jim Henson's Tale of Sand for Archaia, is now at work on the book.

Devil Wears Prada and We Bought a Zoo screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna will adapt the graphic novel and also co-produce alongside Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past). McKenna' as has also written another adaptation of an Archaia book, Royden Lepp's Rust, which was picked up by Fox in 2011.

Archaia's Stephen Christy and Jack Cummins will executive produce.
