If you were wondering what exactly Batman was doing on the “Suicide Squad” set last week, Umberto Gonzalez’s Heroic Hollywood has gotten a rundown of how Batman gets involved in the film from multiple unnamed sources. Those wishing to remain totally spoiler-free, even when it comes to rumored story beats, should look away now.
You ready, Batfans? Heroic Hollywood states that Batman’s involvement kicks off well before the street shots we saw last week. Before riding on top of Joker’s ride, he pays Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) a visit — by sneaking into her office within the maximum security prison. HH calls this is a “typical” and “badass” Batman move, sneaking inside a heavily guarded prison and going straight to Waller for a talk with her not knowing it’s coming.
Batman has a problem with the Wall, specifically because of the Suicide Squad. “[I]n fact he warns Waller that he will hold her personally responsible for any innocents the Joker and the rest of the Suicide Squad kill,” writes Gonzalez. The report ends with rumblings of a second, Bruce Wayne — and therefore Ben Affleck — centric scene that Gonzalez is currently investigating.
You’ll get to find out for sure what Batman’s up to in the movie when “Suicide Squad” opens on August 5, 2016.
