Routh Teases Ray Palmer's 'New' "Legends of Tomorrow" Look

It looks like Brandon Routh's Atom will trade in his armor for a more island-friendly outfit, for a little while at least.

Though it's markedly different from his comic book counterpart's outfit, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow's" fans have gown accustomed to Ray Palmer's armored look as the Atom. And while the size-shifting hero will most definitely return to wearing his blue and red, hi-tech ensemble in the show's second season, Brandon Routh took to Instagram last week, teasing the disheveled appearance Ray will be sporting when the show returns in October.

While the actor references his fellow DCTV character Oliver Queen/Green Arrow in his text, we're getting more of a Tom Hanks in "Castaway" vibe from the photo.

Starring Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Arthur Darville and more, "Legends of Tomorrow" returns to The CW for its second season on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
