Much has been made of the fact that "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is a completely standalone film, one that occurs outside the "Star Wars" saga's trilogy of trilogies focused on the Skywalker clan. Producer Kathleen Kennedy has been quite definitive in her assertion that "Rogue One" will not be getting a sequel. But, it seems there is a chance that we could see at least one of its stars appear in another "Star Wars" flick.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Rogue One" star Felicity Jones "has one sequel option in her contract." How this option could be exercised is obviously open to rampant speculation, but it does seem possible that her character Jyn Erso could appear in another of the proposed "Star Wars" anthology films, perhaps even the "Han Solo" movie set to begin shooting in February 2017.

The THR piece also confirmed its own previous reporting that Jones is the highest paid member of the "Rogue One" cast, taking home "a seven-figure upfront salary" – way ahead of her co-stars Diego Luna and Ben Mendelssohn, whose pay apparently ranked in the range of the "mid-six figures."

Directed by Gareth Edwards, “Rogue One” is set just prior to the events of 1977’s “Star Wars,” and focuses on a ragtag group of Rebels that undertake a dangerous mission to steal the design plans for the Galactic Empire’s new planet-destroying superweapon, the Death Star and is in theaters now.
