A nearly three-minute behind-the-scenes reel for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" has emerged this morning from "Star Wars" Celebration Europe in London.

The reel offers new glimpses of the hotly anticipated film (along with plenty of new aliens), while focusing on the practical sets and effects, as well as the pressure to get everything just right.

"The pressure's so high that we're making a film that's right touching my favorite movie of all time," director Gareth Edwards says. "But then if you're too respectful of it, that you didn't do anything new or different -- take a risk -- then what are you bringing to the table?"

Set just before the events of the original "Star Wars," the Gareth Edwards film tells the story of resistance fighters who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star.

Arriving Dec. 16, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Riz Ahmed.
